Je l'ai dédiée spécifiquement à ma communauté new-yorkaise — aux galeries, aux collectionneurs et à tous les passionnés qui visitent régulièrement mon site et me suivent de l'autre côté de l'Atlantique. Vous êtes mon inspiration, et cette toile est le pont invisible qui relie mon atelier à vos regards.
> Fidèle à ma démarche ancrée dans l'Expressionnisme Abstrait et l'Art Brut, j'ai voulu que cette gratitude s'exprime par la physicalité et la force brute de la matière. Sculptée entièrement au couteau en haut-relief, la toile possède sa propre topographie : les épaisseurs créent un relief vivant et palpable où la lumière s'accroche et se réinvente selon l'angle sous lequel on l'observe. Le geste y est vif, franc et directionnel, traduisant l'énergie de la création.
> Au centre de cette tempête texturée, la silhouette drapée de la **Statue de la Liberté** émerge avec subtilité. Le mouvement ascendant des couteaux en diagonale propulse son bras invisible et sa torche vers le ciel, tandis que des éclats de lumière suggèrent les rayons de sa couronne emblématique.
> Pour la palette chromatique, j'ai choisi de faire dialoguer l'histoire et la modernité. Les tonalités de **vert-de-gris** et de bruns terreux rappellent le bronze oxydé du monument et la patine du temps. Elles sont bousculées et électrisées par des éclats vibrants de **magenta et de rose violacé**, apportant une tension contemporaine qui fait écho à l'énergie de la ville qui ne dort jamais. Le tout est soutenu par des **bleus profonds et denses**, évoquant l'immensité de l'océan qui nous sépare, mais qui, à travers l'art, nous unit.

This work was born from a heartfelt impulse, driven by a profound need for gratitude. I dedicated it specifically to my New York community—to the galleries, collectors, and all the enthusiasts who regularly visit my website and follow me across the Atlantic. You are my inspiration, and this canvas is the invisible bridge connecting my studio to your gaze.

True to my approach rooted in Abstract Expressionism and Art Brut, I wanted this gratitude to be expressed through the physicality and raw power of the material. Sculpted entirely with a palette knife in high relief, the canvas possesses its own topography: the layers create a living, palpable relief where light catches and reinvents itself depending on the angle from which it is viewed. The gesture is swift, direct, and directional, conveying the energy of creation.

> At the center of this textured storm, the draped silhouette of the **Statue of Liberty** subtly emerges. The upward movement of the diagonal knives propels her invisible arm and torch skyward, while bursts of light suggest the rays of her iconic crown.

> For the color palette, I chose to create a dialogue between history and modernity. The tones of **verdigris** and earthy browns recall the monument's oxidized bronze and the patina of time. They are jostled and electrified by vibrant bursts of **magenta and purplish-pink**, bringing a contemporary tension that echoes the energy of the city that never sleeps. All of this is underpinned by **deep, dense blues**, evoking the vastness of the ocean that separates us, but which, through art, unites us.
